Kenneth J. Malec practices civil litigation, with a focus on defending insurance companies, individuals and businesses in personal injury and property damage claims. Mr. Malec’s practice has an emphasis in construction accidents, product liability cases, motor vehicle and truck accidents, premises liability, wrongful death and insurance coverage matters. He has obtained several successful jury verdicts and settlements. He also handles residential real estate matters, wills, trusts and estate planning.

Mr. Malec has substantial trial experience practicing in dozens of Illinois Circuit Courts including Cook County, DuPage County, Lake County, Will County, Kane County, McHenry County, Winnebago County (Rockford), McLean County (Bloomington), Peoria County, Sangamon County, and Vermilion County (Danville). He has experience in various arbitration matters and is a member of the federal trial bar. Mr. Malec has represented clients in the Illinois Appellate court and also serves as an arbitrator in numerous cases and is a member of the Defense Research Institute.

Mr. Malec joined the firm as a partner in 1994. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1982 and received his J.D. from John Marshall Law School in 1982, and his B.S. in Economics from University of Illinois at Chicago in 1974.
